Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to tighten and strengthen the vagina. It is most often performed on women who have had a natural birth or who experience laxity of the vaginal walls due to age or hormonal changes.

Description of the surgical procedure
Consultation
An initial consultation is a very important part of the surgery. The client tells the surgeon why she has decided to undergo the procedure, and the surgeon explains what she can expect from the procedure, what the realistic result is, and advises her on the procedure that is most suitable for her. During the consultation, the doctor answers all the client’s questions.
Before the procedure
Before each surgery, it is necessary to assess the overall health of each client. With local anesthesia combined with analgosedation, blood samples can be taken in a laboratory or by a general practitioner or internist. Preoperative examinations for general anesthesia are performed by an anesthesiologist or internist.
The procedure
Vaginoplasty is performed either in local anestesia combined with analgosedation or under general anesthesia and takes about 1 hour to complete. Before the surgery, the client discusses everything again with the surgeon and then receives premedication. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedure is performed after the end of a menstrual period. The surgeon makes an incision in the vaginal entrance area. He then removes excess mucous membrane and uses internal sutures to strengthen and support vaginal muscles and tissues. The aim of the operation is to tighten the vaginal canal and restore vaginal tone. The stitches are absorbable.
After the procedure
Immediately after the procedure, the scar is covered with a plaster. If the surgery was performed on an outpatient basis, the client can go home after the procedure on the same day. After the surgery under general anesthesia, the client remains at the clinic until the next day. There is a 24-hour hotline available, which the client can contact if necessary.
For one week, it is necessary to follow a rest regimen and do intimate hygiene several times a day. It is necessary to avoid prolonged sitting. You can get back to normal office work after a few days. We recommend performing full physical exertion only after 4 weeks. Sexual intercourse is possible after 6 weeks.
Results and durability of vaginoplasty
You will see the difference immediately after the surgery, but the final result will only be visible approximately 1-2 months after the surgery, when the tissue heals and the woman feels comfortable and confident again.
Risks
No surgery is completely risk-free. However, these risks are minimized by a skilled and experienced surgeon, adherence to preoperative instructions, and conscientious postoperative care. The client is informed of the most common risks before the procedure.
